Zund G3 Specifications – What to Look For
If you're new to the G3 platform or looking to upgrade, here's a brief guide to the key specifications:

Format (cutting width)
The second part of the G3 model name refers to the cutting width – 1600 means 1.6 metres, 3200 means 3.2 metres. Choose based on the maximum substrate width you need to cut.

Beam length (S, M, L, XL, 3XL)
The first part refers to the beam length – effectively the cutting depth. S (small) through to 3XL (extra large). For most sign and display work, M or L is sufficient. 3XL machines are typically used for wide-format industrial applications.

Module configuration
A G3 with multiple modules (UCM + routing + creasing, for example) is significantly more versatile than a single-module machine. Consider what you need to cut and specify accordingly.

Generation within G3
The G3 platform has been in production since the early 2010s. Earlier G3 machines are fully functional but may have older controller software. Later G3 machines benefit from refinements to the platform and easier integration with current Zund Cut Center software.
